Advisory Board Applications Now Being Accepted!

Dear RoughRiders Family,

We hope this email finds you well and filled with excitement for the upcoming season at the Youth RoughRiders Hockey Club! As we gear up for another fantastic year of hockey and growth, we are thrilled to announce several leadership volunteer positions within our organization that serve on our Advisory Board of Directors.

The Advisory Board of Directors for the Youth Roughriders Hockey Club plays a crucial role in guiding and supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization, working closely with the Executive Director. Comprising experienced and knowledgeable individuals from various fields relevant to youth sports and organizational management, the advisory board offers valuable insights and strategic direction to ensure the club’s success.

The primary responsibilities of the Advisory Board include:

  • Strategic Guidance: The ABOD collaborates with the Executive Director to develop and refine the club’s day-to-day operations.
  • Operational Oversight: The board monitors the club’s daily activities, evaluating its effectiveness and efficiency. They offer recommendations for process improvements and innovative practices to enhance the quality of services provided to young athletes and our families.
  • Expertise Sharing: Each member of the advisory board brings unique strengths in areas such as communication, organization, marketing, and community engagement. They share their knowledge to address challenges and seize opportunities to improve the experience of all here at RRHC.
  • Networking: ABOD members leverage their personal relationships to connect with families to provide insights such as potential advancements and positive reflection. This helps the club establish a strong culture of communication and connectivity.
  • Scheduling Oversight: Collaborating with the Executive Director and necessary people, the advisory board assists in scheduling of games and other events.
  • Community Engagement: The board plays a role in fostering positive relationships between the club and its community. They help devise outreach programs, community events, and initiatives that promote the club’s values and mission.
  • Evaluation and Accountability: The advisory board regularly evaluates the club’s progress toward its goals, mission, and vision.
  • Innovation: Drawing on their diverse experiences, the board encourages innovation within the club on how we can continue to improve
  • Support and Advocacy: By championing the club’s mission and initiatives, the advisory board helps garner support from stakeholders, parents, and the broader community. Their endorsement lends credibility to the club’s efforts.
