RoughRiders Hockey Academy, summer programming model of RoughRiders Hockey Club, is proud to announce the 2020 camp schedule. The coaching staff will include some of the areas best coaches has to offer. Camps will be limited to the first 40 players registered.

About RoughRiders Hockey Academy

What do players need to bring or do:

  1. Arrive on time and be prepared with a good breakfast
  2. Black and white jersey
  3. Water bottle
  4. Shoes
  5. Workout attire (IE shorts, shirt, and athletic shoes)
  6. Protein snacks (IE granola bars, power bars, etc…)

Camp Registrations

 

CANCELED – General Skills

May 1-3, 2020 | Birth Years: 2005-2011

$185/player *Maximum capacity of 40 players. 

The General Skills camp will focus on all of the basic fundamentals of being a good hockey player. The fundamentals will be taught in an environment that focuses on the use of the skills within the context of game situations.

Sniper and Scoring

June 5-7, 2020 | Birth Years: 2005-2011

$185/player *Maximum capacity of 40 players. 

The Sniper and Scoring camp will focus on the fundamentals of scoring and being able to snipe. However, the game of hockey is won in between the dots. Drills will focus on players being able to get into the middle of the ice and playing under pressure. This camp will focus on positional and individual skills that will make a player more confident and an offensive threat.

Defense Skills

June 12-14, 2020 | Birth Years: 2005-2011

$185/player *Maximum capacity of 40 players. 

This camp is defense specific, but all players of all positions are encouraged to attend. Focusing on the defense position players will learn the importance details of the position such as good stick position, playing defensive side of the puck, backwards skating, deception on breakouts, and scoring fundamentals along the blue line.

Deception, Dangles & Dekes

June 19-21, 2020 | Birth Years: 2005-2011

$185/player *Maximum capacity of 40 players.

This camp will focus on players having the ability to use their skating and stick skills to create time and space. The game of hockey is faster than ever, the players are bigger and stronger than ever, and the best can create time and space using deception, dangling, and dekes. This camp will provide fundamentals on how to use these fakes in game like scenarios and small area games on rushes and in the corners.

RRHC Pre-Tryout Camp

August 4-6, 2020 | Birth Years: 2006-2011

$185/player

All players must have a valid 2020-2021 USAH number to register. This is a RRHC Camp and not an Academy camp, therefore, parent coaches will be used as well to get them involved and back on the ice leading up to the season.

This camp will focus on skills, skating, and competition. The goal of this camp is to prepare all players planning on trying out for RRHC winter travel program or a player just looking for a well rounded camp before the season starts.

4:30-5:45pm: Check-In
5:15-6:15pm: (2011-2009 Birth Years) Skills
6:30-7:30pm: (All Birth Years) Power Skating
7:45-8:45pm: (2008-2006 Birth Years) Skills

Registration Closed or Full? Please join the waitlist, because this will allow us to see if there is need for more ice. In the event that the waitlist becomes large enough for an additional group of players you will be notified.

RoughRider families! Tomorrow, May 1st, we will be doing Edgwood Meat Locker order pickup at the ImOn Ice arena Parking lot from 4:00-7:00 PM. Please only send one member of your family to the arena to pick up your order! We will be doing drive up pickup, so no need to get out of your car. All volunteers on hand will have facemasks and gloves on in order to comply with city guidelines.
